Scott Taylor Motorsport to play starring role on the Gold Coast
21st October, 2026It’s time for the Repco Supercars Championship to make its traditional trip to the Gold Coast and Scott Taylor Motorsport’s home event.
The Gold Coast event marks a massive round for Scott Taylor Motorsport, which will contest two categories and feature many display items around the event grounds including many historic Supercars, plus a wide array of trucks.
Driving for his eponymous team, Scott Taylor will continue his Equity One Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship Pro-Am season and will add the Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series to his program.
Completing double duty at his home event is an exciting prospect for Taylor and marks the first time this year he will complete the feat.
The Gold Coast event is demanding due to the close confines of concrete walls and the physical nature of the circuit, but the weather is also a talking point approaching the round.
Many items from Taylor’s collection will be on display at the event including the Triple Eight Race Engineering Holden VF Commodore used by Craig Lowndes and Steven Richards to win the 2015 Bathurst 1000, while a Tickford Racing Ford Mustang driven by Cam Waters is situated at the Southport Yacht Club.
It’s going to be hard to miss Scott Taylor Motorsport on the Gold Coast from October 23-25.

“It’s a completely different dynamic being a street circuit and it’s going to be wet across all three days, which will be challenging,” said Taylor
“We’ll behave ourselves and see what happens on the streets of the Gold Coast. I’m racing both Aussie Racing Cars and Carrera Cup, so there’s plenty of excitement surrounding the weekend.
“I don’t mind the wet weather, but street circuits have things like manholes, painted lines and there’s a fair bit of concrete around that circuit, but it will be fun.
“I’ve switched been the two categories plenty of times before. It’s easy to take what you do in a Porsche to an Aussie Racing Car because you can get away with silly stuff, but it doesn’t work the other way around.
“My goals are to remain safe and keep improving, so if those two objectives are achieved I’ve had a good weekend.
“It is one of my favourites because I live on the Gold Coast and it’s like racing in my backyard. I do enjoy racing in my backyard, which is why I’m competing ion two categories.
I’ve also got some of my cars and the boat at the Southport Yacht Club, while my trucks are at the hotels inside the circuit. At the Friday night Charity Ball, the Craig Lowndes/Steven Richards Bathurst winning Holden VF Commodore from 2015 will be on display.
“We’re busy not only racing, but also putting cars and trucks on display all over the place.”
