Scott Taylor Motorsport reveals striking look for Bathurst 12 Hour
17th January, 2025Scott Taylor Motorsport has taken the covers off its 2025 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour challenger.
To be driven by Australian motorsport legend Craig Lowndes alongside proven stars Cameron Waters and Thomas Randle, the trio will tackle the 12 Hour race at Mount Panorama in STM’s stunning black and green Mercedes-AMG GT3.
It will be the second-consecutive year that the three drivers have teamed up in the STM Mercedes, following a successful seventh place finish last year – crossing the line less than eight seconds behind the winners.
Like the team’s 12 Hour races in recent years, the entry will carry support for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, following a lengthy relationship between Taylor’s team and the charity.
The Foundation is also the official event charity of the 12 Hour event itself.
The #222 Mercedes, prepared by Ashley Seward Motorsport, will feature support from Autoglym Australia, while the names on the rear quarter panels – Maddox and Indigo – are a tip of the hat to Taylor’s own canine companions.
Two-time 12 Hour winner Lowndes will start his 12th ‘once-around-the-clock’ race, having claimed his victories in 2014 and 2017 and a further podium finish, adding to his remarkable Bathurst CV that includes seven Bathurst 1000 victories.
The race marks Waters fourth start in the 12 Hour, while for Randle, it will be his second.
Stay tuned to STM’s social channels for live updates from Mount Panorama, and look out for a special documentary, set to be filmed at the track over the course of the weekend, adding to the team’s epic road trip documentaries that have become a hallmark of the team’s adventures to Darwin’s Supercars and Carrera Cup rounds in recent years.
The 2025 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour will be held at the famous Mount Panorama Circuit on January 31-February 2.

“We don’t leave much on the table when it comes to design and presentation, and this year’s look is no different,” said Taylor.
“The Prostate Cancer Foundation was brought to us from Craig and Lara, and it’s something we don’t know as much as we should. The message is to get checked, which is on the rear wing of the car, and there’s too many men who don’t understand how important it is to get examined. Of course, we’ll be raining money, and that’s important, but the key message is to get checked.
“On the lighter side, having our dog’s names on the back creates so much interest. They are our family’s best friend and we love having them on the ride with us.
“In last year’s 12 Hour, we fought hard and the boys did a brilliant job, but we should have done even better. An engine part issue saw us down on power, so we were fighting with one hand behind our back.
“The bit that excites me is that we have unlocked more power, so we’re going there knowing that we have a great package. It’s a big race, and there’s a lot of things that can go different ways but we feel we are in the best space to compete against the best in the world.
David Turney
Head of Marketing, Autoglym Australia
“Autoglym is thrilled to kick off our 60th year, supporting Scott Taylor Motorsports’ GT3 overall contention in the Bathurst 12 Hour,” said Turney.
“They embody the precision and perfection that Autoglym strives for, so helping the satin black beast stay clean as it hits the Mountain will be a true highlight, and a great way to kick off 2025.
“We’re also incredibly proud to support the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia’s #GetChecked cause, driving awareness for such an important message.”
