Scott Taylor Motorsport hits the marks in Townsville
14th July, 2025Between its support of Nash Morris in Dunlop Super2 and its twin-attack in the Tyrepower V8 SuperUtes Series, Scott Taylor Motorsport proved competitive across the board in Townsville.
Morris continued to display his potential following his maiden Dunlop Super2 Series victory at Symmons Plains as the form transferred to Townsville.
Qualifying sixth for the opening race, Morris was part of a history-making achievement when completed a top four lockout of the results for Tickford Autosport in the first encounter.
Starting seventh for the second race following the earlier qualifying session, Morris was unable to replicate his climb from the previous day and maintained this position for the duration.
It’s all Tickford Autosport at the top of the standings in Dunlop Super2, with Morris placed third surrounded by teammates Reuben Goodall and Lochie Dalton as Rylan Gray continues to lead the series.
Scott Taylor and Paul Morris spearheaded the team’s efforts in the Tyrepower V8 SuperUtes Series during four chaotic races.
Taylor enjoyed a solid weekend in Townsville after qualifying 16th, he enjoyed finishes of 22nd, 13th and a pair of 18ths to round out the weekend.
As for Morris Snr, he was 10th in qualifying as he went to score a 14th, 13th, 16th and returned to 10th in the finale to complete the event.
Scott Taylor Motorsport returns to action for Dunlop Super2’s return to Queensland Raceway on August 8-10, while the Tyrepower V8 SuperUtes Series continues at Mount Panorama, Bathurst on October 9-12.

“I think I’ve learnt a bit more about the car and about myself. We’ve changed the set-up, so we’ve moved up and down, but there’s also been a bit of damage, which is not good. Some of that has been my fault, some of it has been due to others, but there’s close racing in the V8 SuperUtes.
“I think my performance was good and I can’t wait to do the final two rounds.”
