Scott Taylor Motorsport expands for Bathurst event
6th October, 2025The Repco Bathurst 1000 event will be one of the largest ever for Scott Taylor Motorsport as its program covers three categories for this weekend.
Dunlop Super2 Series race winner Nash Morris is back to renew his title fight at Bathurst and has the bonus of debuting Tickford Racing’s newly constructed Ford Mustang.
Morris enters the penultimate round of the Dunlop Super2 Series second in the standings in what is a Tickford Racing whitewash at the top of the table.
In addition to his Dunlop Super2 Series duties, Morris will also be making his Repco Bathurst 1000 debut alongside Richie Stanaway for PremiAir Racing.
Matching Morris’ frantic schedule is team owner Scott Taylor, who prepares to complete double duty at the Mountain.
Not only will Taylor renew hostilities in the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series, but will return to the Paynter Dixon Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship to take on the Pro-Am Class.
Taylor will dust off the STM Ford Ranger for the first time since July for what will be his final round for the season. Taylor will miss the final event at Sandown.
Making the most of his trip to the Mountain, Taylor will switch between the Ranger and his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 992) after returning to the leading one-make category at Queensland Raceway.
Building confidence in the Porsche after a recent test at Queensland Raceway, Taylor believes he will be up to speed compared to the Pro-Am opposition at Bathurst.
The Repco Bathurst 1000 is scheduled for October 9-13.

“I’ll be doing V8 SuperUtes and racing the Porsche at Bathurst,” Taylor said.
“The last time I raced a Porsche at the Mountain was at the Bathurst 12 Hour a couple of years ago where I finished top 10 alongside Alex Davison and Geoff Emery, which was also the class win.
“I tested last week in the Porsche at Queensland Raceway and went faster than I’ve ever been in the thing. I’m really building my confidence in the car, with the ABS, Alex’s coaching and Ashley Seward Motorsport running it, I feel right at home in the Porsche.
“The V8 SuperUtes are a lot of fun and I’ve made a commitment to race it at Bathurst, but unfortunately I have to undergo a medical procedure forcing me out of the final round at Sandown.
“I’m going to enjoy racing the V8 SuperUte at Bathurst due to the track, the crowd, the whole ambience of the joint is just spectacular. You could ride around on a push bike and have heaps of fun.
“Also, I’ll look forward to eating the lamb cutlets at the Railway Hotel in Bathurst, which I can’t wait for!”
