Scott Taylor Motorsport ends 2024 on the Adelaide streets

Scott Taylor Motorsport has wrapped up its 2024 season on the streets of Adelaide with Nash Morris and Scott Taylor both producing solid runs in their respective categories.

With Morris entered in the Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia and Taylor running in the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series, each driver had solid stints behind the wheel.

Following a strong campaign in the one-make Porsche series, Morris capped off his year inside the top 10 for the round, having twice finished in eighth either side of a P12.

Morris showed plenty of promise throughout the three races and made some good passes along the way, eventually settling for 10th overall.

As for Taylor, the experienced driver had a decent run behind the wheel of the Ashley Seward Motorsport prepared Ford Ranger, enjoying an almost drama-free run throughout the category’s four races.

Unfortunately, the Ford Ranger sustained a hole in the radiator on Saturday – forcing him to sit out of the third race of the weekend.

Outside of the minor issue, Taylor still had an enjoyable weekend out and finished the year on a high.

The team will now look towards their 2025 campaign, starting off with the Bathurst 12 Hour on January 31 – February 2.

“I just want to say a big thank you to Scott Taylor Motorsport for giving me this opportunity to drive for him,” said Morris.

“It’s been a great year where we have had some great success and some pretty big lows, but he’s always stuck for me. So big thanks to him.”

“I don’t think it was a stellar weekend as I had damage, and I’m not the guy that likes to be involved in damage. But it happens,” said Taylor.

“It’s Adelaide – It’s a fantastic place to be. Motocross, Speedway, all the different categories of cars racing. Adelaide really knows how to put on a motor racing event, so I am glad to be here.

“Was it the best weekend? No. Did I have fun? Of course I had fun. I’m racing. I’m here with my mates and then head back to Melbourne and then back to the Gold Coast.”
